Caring For Your Trees

Tree Planting

The selection of a tree is one of the most important investment decisions for a homeowner or property owner.

Extremely important for landscaping a new home or replacing a tree lost to disease or damage. Considering that most trees have the potential to outlive the people who plant them, the impact of this decision is one that can influence a lifetime. Match the tree to the site, and both lives will benefit. Trees offer distinct personal, functional, and environmental benefits. Personal preferences for color, fragrance, and form should complement the functional properties of size, shape, density, and placement of plant material.

Tree Trimming & Pruning

  • Young trees need to be trimmed to develop a strong structure to prevent issues as they mature.

  • Remove dead branches to help prevent decay.

  • Clearance from homes and power lines.

  • Reduce risk of damage to your tree or your property.

  • Proper pruning promotes a long and healthy life for the tree.

  • Make your trees look great!

WHY TREE TRIMMING IS IMPORTANT FOR YOUR TREES

Deep Root Fertilization

Plants & Trees

Plants, especially trees and large shrubs, continually take nutrients from the soil in order to stay healthy. Eventually, the soil becomes depleted and compacted, especially in our heavy clay soil. Oxygen cannot make its way to the roots and nutrients grow scarce. When this happens, your trees and other plants suffer.

When we deep root fertilize, we use a high-quality slow-release fertilizer which is injected into the ground at a depth between 6 to 8 inches. The injections are spaced every 2-3 feet throughout the root zone.  This fertilizer provides beneficial nutrients to your trees or shrubs for 1 year.
